Interprofessional Continuing Education at Intermountain Health assesses, facilitates, enhances, and advocates for the continuous learning process with the ultimate goal of improving healthcare outcomes.  This is accomplished by identifying the educational needs of our community and regional healthcare teams and developing balanced, scientifically rigorous educational activities to bridge gaps in knowledge, skill or practice.  The Interprofessional Continuing Education program is committed to excellence and accountability in education being recognized as the leader for continuing education for the Intermountain Region.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Through participation in our educational offerings, participants will improve their knowledge, skills, and/or performance, leading to improved professional practice and/or patient outcomes.

Patient-Centered Considerations for Patients who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH)



The purpose of this activity is to educate healthcare providers on cultural competence, update attendees on current research and findings on Health disparities as they relate to cultural barriers and discuss ways to minimize or eliminate these barriers to provide culturally sensitive care and increase patient satisfaction and wellbeing.
