Interprofessional Continuing Education at Intermountain Health assesses, facilitates, enhances, and advocates for the continuous learning process with the ultimate goal of improving healthcare outcomes.  This is accomplished by identifying the educational needs of our community and regional healthcare teams and developing balanced, scientifically rigorous educational activities to bridge gaps in knowledge, skill or practice.  The Interprofessional Continuing Education program is committed to excellence and accountability in education being recognized as the leader for continuing education for the Intermountain Region.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Through participation in our educational offerings, participants will improve their knowledge, skills, and/or performance, leading to improved professional practice and/or patient outcomes.

WHAT IS INTERPROFESSIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION?

Interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) is when members from two or more professions learn with, from, and about each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes (ACCME, ACPE, ANCC).
