Overview
Speakers will cover current literature on medications for diabetes, behavioral approach to weight management, common thyroid conditions and osteoporosis. A special final session will be a patient panel of those with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This activity is intended to bring up to date practice considerations to the primary care provider or anyone caring for patients with diabetes in the broader care team.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Apply evidence based practices into professional practice that will promote improved clinical outcomes.
  2. Discuss medication management strategies that will optimize health of common endocrinology conditions
  3. Recognize unique barriers of care for patients with diabetes and common endocrinology conditions and take action to overcome those barriers in a patient-centered manner.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Participants will self-report an increase in knowledge regarding their ability to care for patients with diabetes and other common endocrinology related health conditions

Registration

Registration includes either in-person or virtual conference attendance,  and access to online syllabus with PDF’s of presentations for both registration types. A continental breakfast and full lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. Please make sure to register for your preference, either in-person or virtual attendance. 

Physicians: $225

APP: $175

Pharmacists: $150

Nurses, MAs, Dieticians, and Other Healthcare Professionals: $75

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy: Full (100%) registration reimbursement for cancellation more than 14 days prior to the beginning of the activity. Half (50%) registration reimbursement for cancellation between four (4) and fourteen (14) days prior to the beginning of the activity. No reimbursement for cancellation three (3) days or less prior to the beginning of the activity.
Exceptions: Exceptions may be allowed only under extenuating circumstances and with approval from the IPCE Director, IPCE Medical Director, and VP for IPCE.

Intermountain Healthcare is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AMA PRA Credit:
Intermountain Healthcare designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25* AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Contact Hours:
Intermountain Healthcare is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This live activity offers a maximum of 6.25* nursing contact hours. Successful completion is attending no less than 1 full session and claiming credit only for sessions attended.
