Overview
As we grow and evolve wound care practices, we want you, the audience, to find new ways to pay forward the learning opportunities and to help build our wound care community of the future. This is a two day conference and it will provide up to date information about current evidence based strategies to promote excellent wound care in both the acute care and chronic wound care arenas.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Verbalize best practices for complex wounds and fistulas.
  2. Explain multimodal therapies in wound healing.
  3. Describe the role of hyperbaric treatment in wound care and diabetic ulcers.
  4. Describe best practices around limb preservation, flaps, grafts, and trauma wounds.
  5. Analyze the care of diabetic foot ulcers and offloading.
  6. Discuss the medical management of patients with GI issues.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Learners will self report an increase of confidence and knowledge of best practices in wound care treatments and guidelines.

Registration

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy: Full (100%) registration reimbursement for cancellation more than 14 days prior to the beginning of the activity. Half (50%) registration reimbursement for cancellation between four (4) and fourteen (14) days prior to the beginning of the activity. No reimbursement for cancellation three (3) days or less prior to the beginning of the activity.
Exceptions: Exceptions may be allowed only under extenuating circumstances and with approval from the IPCE Director, IPCE Medical Director, and AVP for IPCE.


Accreditation

 

Intermountain Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  

AMA Credit

Intermountain Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).™  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Contact Hours

Intermountain Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This live activity offers a maximum of 11.50 nursing contact hours. Successful completion is attending no less than 1 full session and claiming credit only for sessions attended.
