Overview
This RSS will address opportunities for improvement, including communication between members of the healthcare team, identification of cognitive biases, strategies to increase provider knowledge, create, review or revise best-practice guidelines and systems-based processes.

Objectives
  1. Identify and manage a broad range of pediatric emergencies according to best practices, local and system-based processes.
  2. Recognize less common pediatric medical emergencies in order to provide efficient and life-saving medical management to pediatric patients.
  3. Discuss current literature and best practices regarding the management of pediatric illnesses in the emergency department setting.
  4. Utilize current literature and best practices to develop new and or improve upon existing practice guidelines and/or process.
  5. Identify systems issues that can be improved to provide better care to patients and families in the emergency department setting
