Overview
The purpose of our conference is to improve education and clinical skills in the area of trauma patient care. Our Level I Trauma Center is the busiest trauma center in the State of Utah. Our providers are experts with the ability to help train others that may have less training, funding, or exposure to cases, equipment, and support. We also seek for more opportunities to share our case studies, research and learning with other caregivers. This conference is also an opportunity to collaborate with other trauma professionals from across the region.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Utilize current guidelines of practice for specialty trauma care
  2. Demonstrate emergency assessment and stabilization skills for life threatening situations.
  3. Build relationships and communication skills with your team and community.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Learners will self-report increased knowledge and confidence in how to provide best known practice in trauma care.

Optional Post-Conference Trauma Simulation Experience $20
Available only to registered participants. This optional session offers an immersive, hands-on learning opportunity. Registrants will rotate through three high-fidelity trauma simulation scenarios designed to enhance critical decision-making and team coordination.

Registration is required. In-person and virtual viewing options will be available. Please indicate which way you will be attending during your registration.

Method of Payment: Credit card or journal entries.

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy: Full (100%) registration reimbursement for cancellation more than 14 days prior to the beginning of the activity. Half (50%) registration reimbursement for cancellation between four (4) and fourteen (14) days prior to the beginning of the activity. No reimbursement for cancellation three (3) days or less prior to the beginning of the activity.

Exceptions: Exceptions may be allowed only under extenuating circumstances and with approval from the IPCE Director, IPCE Medical Director and VP for IPCE. 

Please note that many of our events are hybrid in nature – live and a virtual audience. As such photographs and footage will be taken throughout the event. If you do not want to be captured in these images which will only be used for accredited education to providers of the activity you have signed up for, please sit in the last two rows of the venue.


Accreditation

Intermountain Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

AMA Credit

Intermountain Health designates this live activity for up to a maximum of 11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for the Main Conference and up to an additional 2.50 hours available for the optional simulation workshop. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

  Nursing Contact Hours

Intermountain Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.  This live activity offers a maximum of 11.25* nursing contact hours. Up to an additional 2.5* nursing contact hours are available for the optional simulation workshop. Successful completion is attending no less than 1 full session and claiming credit only for sessions attended. Credit is awarded upon completion of a conference feedback survey. Commercial support is being received for this event.
