This event is an annual conference for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. It is for exercise therapists, exercise physiologists, managers, physicians, and caregivers interested in learning the latest information in the areas of cardiology and pulmonology. Attendees are able to earn continuing education credits.

  5. Identify common post-operative complications and management strategies after heart transplantation.
  6. Describe why and how cardiac rehabilitation matters across the continuum of care.
  7. Describe why cardiac rehabilitation programming across diverse diagnoses and populations matters.
  8. Investigate the future of cardiac rehabilitation interventions for diverse patient populations.
  9. Review evidence-based cardiac rehabilitation practices across varied patient groups and clinical needs.
  10. Review evidence-based pulmonary rehabilitation practices across varied patient groups and clinical needs.
  11. Discuss pulmonary rehabilitation considerations for interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, rare genetic lung diseases, and other complex pulmonary diagnoses.
  12. Explore how process improvement, remote patient monitoring, and emerging technology may support pulmonary disease management.
  13. Contrast the typical adult cardiac rehabilitation patient, such as a post-CABG patient working to reduce atherosclerotic progression, with the pediatric patient working to maximize developmental potential alongside congenital structural variants.
