Overview
The purpose of this series is to describe complications that have been associated with any procedure performed in the Cath Lab. We will discuss any return to the Cath lab within 24 hours of discharge as well as any death that occurred within 24 hours of a Cath lab procedure. This series will integrate improvements in individual skills pertaining to performance of the procedure whether diagnostic or interventional. The series will also identify and recognize new patient modalities. This activity will help patients live the healthiest lives possible by reviewing our outcomes including those with associated complications and revising treatment strategies to achieve optimal results.

Objectives
  1. Discuss and review the incorporation of published guidelines.
  2. Review new data and procedures with focus on optimizing the patient experience.
  3. Identify best practices to ensure patient safety so patients will be able to live the healthiest lives possible.

 Accreditation:  Intermountain Healthcare is accredited by Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
