Overview

Utah School Nurses will be able to utilize the education provided to maintain or improve their proficiency in management of diabetic children at school, including familiarity with the newer deliver technologies and care management plans for pediatric Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.

Commercial support provided by Medtronic, Tandem Diabetes,  Insulet, and Dexcom in the form of breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. 

*Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy: Full (100%) registration reimbursement for cancellation more than 14 days prior to the beginning of the activity. Half (50%) registration reimbursement for cancellation between four (4) and fourteen (14) days prior to the beginning of the activity. No reimbursement for cancellation three (3) days or less prior to the beginning of the activity.



ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Participants will self-report an increase in their knowledge level and ability to respond to and manage pediatric students with diabetes while in the school setting.
  2. Participants will self-report one change they will make to their practice or performance as a result of this educational event.

Accreditation

Intermountain Healthcare is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This live activity offers a maximum of 7.0* nursing contact hours. Successful completion is attending no less than 1 full session and claiming credit only for sessions attended.

*Credit hours are subject to change and are based on actual learning hours and at the discretion of IPCE.
