Overview
Emergency Medicine operations should be standardized across Intermountain Health so that patients receive the same high quality care in all EDs across the system. This activity will improve the ability of nurses, pharmacists, advanced practice providers, and physicians in Intermountain Health's Emergency Department Services to provide consistent best care to all patients across the system. Topics of interest will include early sepsis recognition, 4 part bundle elements, clinical best practice, and research.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Recognize clinical disease processes in the Emergency Department environment.
  2. Discuss current clinical treatment strategies for the identification of sepsis and the critically ill patient.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Participants will self-report an increase in their knowledge regarding the goals and initiatives of the Emergency Department Services across Intermountain Health.
  2. Participants will self-report a change they will make to their practice or performance as a result of this educational activity.

Registration

In-person and Virtual Attendance is available, registration is required for all attendees.

Registration Fees:
Physicians - $100
Advanced Practice Providers - $75
All other caregivers - $20


Accreditation

Intermountain Healthcare is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AMA PRA Credit
Intermountain Healthcare designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.5* AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Nursing Contact Hours

Intermountain Healthcare is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
