Overview
Pediatric Grand Rounds is the senior flagship weekly interactive lecture held every Thursday 8-9am (Mountain Time) during the academic year (September-May). Hospital and community pediatricians, subspecialists, and nurses learn from national experts on clinical, research, education, quality and equity topics.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Discuss advances and their implementation in pediatric clinical practice, research, medical education, patient safety, quality improvement, collaboration, and health equity.
  2. Identifying and providing for the professional education needs of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals, particularly in the areas of preventive health care, diagnosis and therapy, mental health, recent advances in medical science new technology, and the quality, safety, availability and cost of health care delivery.
  3. Promoting the identification and coordination of care of infants, children, adolescents or families requiring specialty services.
  4. Promoting efficient, effective delivery of patient care in accordance with safe, evidence-based clinical practice.
  5. Disseminating research and advancements in the art and science of pediatrics to the primary care and subspecialty practitioners.
  6. Incorporating continuing improvement into the continuing education process.
  7. Incorporating contemporary instructional techniques and technology to enhance presentation and facilitate learning.
  8. Assessing the effectiveness of our educational endeavors in terms of application of new knowledge, or improvements in clinical practice.
  9. Devise appropriate interventions to ensure quality delivery of services to diverse populations through consideration of social and cultural influences on beliefs and behaviors; including how these factors interact on multiple levels within the healthcare system.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Participants will self-report an increase in knowledge regarding pediatric evidence-based research, practice and care models.
  2. Participants will self-report that they will implement one change to their practice or performance as a result of attending Pediatric Grand Rounds.
