Overview
This one-day conference will provide the latest updates in cardiology best practices and clinical advancements for the non-cardiologist. Primary care and rural care will receive special focus.

Objectives
  1. Apply current ACC/AHA/HRS guideline recommendations to the prevention, diagnosis, and management of common cardiovascular conditions encountered in primary care.
  2. Differentiate patients requiring reassurance, outpatient evaluation, urgent specialty referral, or emergency care based on cardiovascular symptoms, diagnostic findings, and clinical risk factors.
  3. Implement evidence-based pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic strategies for lipid disorders, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, obesity, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease to reduce cardiovascular risk.
  4. Select appropriate cardiovascular diagnostic testing—including coronary calcium scoring, coronary CTA, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring, echocardiography, and device evaluation—and interpret results to guide management.
  5. Recognize clinical features warranting referral for electrophysiology, structural heart intervention, advanced heart failure management, or inherited cardiovascular disease evaluation to improve patient outcomes.
