Overview
Join physicians, APPs, nurses, EMS and allied healthcare professionals for the 16th Annual Rimrock Trauma Conference—an essential update on the realities of trauma care across urban, rural, and frontier settings. This year’s program tackles the challenges impacting every level of care, including delayed evacuations, aging populations, and rising numbers of violent injuries. Attendees will gain practical strategies for managing low-frequency, high-acuity events, keeping patients safely closer to home, and optimizing trauma care for growing geriatric populations. Through evidence-based updates and real-world case discussions, the conference equips providers to deliver high-quality trauma care. Strengthen your readiness. Refresh your skills. Support the communities you serve.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Recognize the conditions that provide or prevent the utilization of National Guard rescue team and helicopter, and how to access that resource.
  2. Analyze the metrics that indicate which levels of medical facilities can manage various types of pediatric brain injury.
  3. Identify the clinical roadmap of current management for burn injuries, from initial assessment and resuscitation through long-term needs of survivors when they return to local communities.
  4. Develop a practical framework for care of the older adult with critical illness or injury.
  5. Identify what is considered evidence from potential criminal activity, how to properly handle and package it.
  6. Discuss adjunct imaging that compliments primary imaging in penetrating brain injury.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Learners will self report an increase in knowledge and confidence to implement key principles of evidence based practice relevant to trauma.
