Overview
With the support of Intermountain Children’s Health & Primary Children’s Hospital, the University of Utah Department of Pediatrics we are pleased to announce the 4th Annual Pediatric Health Equity Symposium. This year’s meeting will focus on how individual and community health equity outcomes intersect with policies, funding, and safety nets. We are pleased to share this year a full symposium that will bring together clinical leaders, legal scholars, scientists, policy makers, operational leaders, and community members.

Objectives
  1. Review the relationship between healthcare policy and health outcomes, emphasizing the role of policymakers in shaping patient and population health.
  2. Discuss structural barriers to health equity, particularly those intersecting with Medicaid, and identify communities most at risk.
  3. Explore frameworks for understanding stressors in healthcare settings, providing context for their impact on patients, providers, and systems.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Intermountain Health, Intermountain Children's Health and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
