ACCME Objectives
  1. Discuss advanced training and education for pediatric emergency medicine providers to enhance clinical knowledge, expertise. and preparedness for managing diverse and complex pediatric emergency cases.
  2. Identify skills in pediatric trauma management, critical care interventions, and procedural skills through case-based learning sessions.
  3. Optimize collaboration and communication between multidisciplinary teams involved in pediatric emergency care, including, emergency physicians, nurses, pediatric specialists, social workers, and support staff.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Nurses will self-report the increased ability to implement best practice in pediatric emergency care skills.
  2. Nurses will self-report enhanced proficiency in the ability to communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members regarding the care of pediatric emergency care patients.

Both in person and virtual options available.

Registration fee: $25 per person.

*Virtual viewing will include lectures, lunch panel, and a designated provider session.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Intermountain Health, Intermountain Children's Health, and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Intermountain Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical educaiton for physicians.

AMA Credit

Intermountain Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).™  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

  Nursing Accreditation

Intermountain Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.  This live activity offers a maximum of 6.00 nursing contact hours. This activity is jointly provided by Intermountain Health, Intermountain Children's Health, and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Successful completion is attending no less than 1 full session and claiming credit only for sessions attended. Credit is awarded after submission of post-conference survey.
