This course introduces physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) to the Peer Support program. Learn how to prioritize mental well-being as well as provide and receive emotional support during challenging times. The course is designed for physicians and APPs but is also recommended for clinical leaders to better understand how to connect and care for their physician and APP team members. After completing this course, caregivers can become a formal Peer Supporter for other physicians and APPs.

1. Recognize the need and “why” for Peer Support for physicians and APPs
2. Reviewing the Peer Support program at Intermountain Health
3. Practicing Peer Support skills in real time
4. Discuss the evidence-based Peer Support tools physicians and APPs can use
5. Recognize when to use and refer to Peer Support
