Overview
This conference is designed to share the work on child health equity happening at the University of Utah and Intermountain Healthcare. There will also be opportunities for individuals interested in projects related to health equity to network with others who are committed to advancing child health equity.

Objectives
  1. Articulate the central role of health equity in the broader mission and vision of organizations working to improve child health in Utah.
  2. Disseminate and promote best practices in meeting child health equity objectives.
  3. Define social determinants of health, and describe tools and strategies that can be used to assess social determinants of health and refer to community resources.
  4. Describe how health equity can be incorporated into quality improvement efforts for pediatric health services using electronic medical record data.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Intermountain Healthcare, Primary Children’s Hospital, and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Intermountain Healthcare is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
