Overview

This activity is designed to educate caregivers on the treatment and management of neonates with congenital heart disease. It is designed for Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, Physicians and other caregivers caring for neonates with congenital heart disease.


ACCME Objectives
  1. Formulate an evidence based approach for optimal treatment of neonatal heterotaxy including latest therapies.
  2. Describe recent advances in the management of neonates with Critical Aortic Stenosis
  3. Discuss the management of neonates with Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension.
  4. Review recent advances in the management of neonates with Tetralogy of Fallot.
  5. Formulate an evidence-based approach to diagnosis, monitoring and management of preterm infants requiring PGE therapy.
  6. Describe the latest in neonatal heart cath procedures.
  7. Summarize the latest advances and future perspectives on neonatal cardiac surgeries.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Participants will self-report an increase in their knowledge regarding the care of the neonatal patient with congenital heart disease.
  2. Participants will self-report one change they will make to their practice or performance as a result of this education.
