Overview

The purpose of this conference is to connect healthcare professionals in primary care specialties with the new information they need to deliver high quality care for their patients. During this conference, topics such as chronic disease management, preventative care, major subspecialty updates, healthcare delivery, and systems-based practice will be addressed.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Summarize clinical updates concerning important diseases, their diagnoses and treatments from the medical specialties.
  2. Describe the role of multidisciplinary teams and co-management to improve care of patients with conditions from the medical specialties and more appropriately select patients for referral and triage urgency for specialty evaluation.
  3. Review pre-referral evaluation and pre-referral medication management to enhance the impact of specialist consultation at the initial visit and avoid unnecessary testing and treatment.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Participants will be able to self-report one change they will make to their practice or performance as a result of this educational event.
  2. Participants will self-report an increase in knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions that can be applied to patients care in a primary care setting as a result of this education.

Registration includes either in-person or virtual conference attendance,  and access to online syllabus with PDF’s of presentations for both registration types. Please make sure to register for your preference, either in-person or virtual attendance.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy: Full (100%) registration reimbursement for cancellation more than 14 days prior to the beginning of the activity. Half (50%) registration reimbursement for cancellation between four (4) and fourteen (14) days prior to the beginning of the activity. No reimbursement for cancellation three (3) days or less prior to the beginning of the activity.
Exceptions: Exceptions may be allowed only under extenuating circumstances and with approval from the IPCE Director, IPCE Medical Director, and AVP for IPCE.

American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC):
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6.50* MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
