Julia Harmston Smith MSN, CPNP; was born and raised in rural Utah and moved to Salt Lake to attend the University of Utah.  There she completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing and went on to get her master’s degree. She has practiced as an NP for Primary Children’s Hospital with the Trauma Program for 21 years. She also worked prn in Same Day Surgery for 10 years.   She held the Lead APC position for the General Surgery and Trauma APP group from 2013-2018.  She currently is the Trauma Performance Improvement and Telehealth APP Lead. She has presented at Western Pediatric Trauma, NAPNAP and Pediatric Trauma Society conferences. She is married with 5 children and enjoys camping, U of U football, reading, yoga, movies, and hikes!
