Dr. Tamara Sheffield is the Medical Director of Immunization Programs at Intermountain Health. She acts as Intermountain’s vaccinologist, providing clinical advisement, structures and tools and leads the immunization operations team.

Dr. Sheffield is a past liaison to the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and is a current member of the ACIP Influenza Work Group. She chaired the group that developed the Utah State immunization registry and chairs the Utah Adult Immunization Coalition.

She is co-PI at the Intermountain Health site of the CDC’s VISION Vaccine Effectiveness (VE) Network’s VISION 2.0 study of the safety and efficacy of respiratory virus vaccines.
