Ian M. Greenlund, Ph.D. is a post-doctoral research fellow in the department of cardiovascular medicine at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. As a fellow in Virend Somers Cardiovascular Physiology Laboratory, Dr. Greenlund is aiding two laboratory clinical trials focused on sleep enhancement and blood pressure regulation, and health disparities work focused on sleep disorders and hypertension in racially underrepresented populations. Prior to Mayo Clinic, Dr. Greenlund received his bachelor’s and master’s in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University. Dr. Greenlund completed his doctoral work with Jason Carter in Psychological Sciences and Physiological Neuroscience at Montana State University. His research interests include autonomic nervous system regulation, neurovascular control of blood pressure, sleep disorders and hypertension, and alcohol abuse mediated cardiovascular disease.
