David W. Guidry

I grew up in south Louisiana and attended college at Louisiana College followed by LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans where I was awarded outstanding student in Internal Medicine. My internship and residency were at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas at Parkland Hospital. I moved to Salt Lake City for my Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Utah.

After graduation from fellowship, I moved back to Louisiana for two years and practiced in Baton Rouge prior to returning to Intermountain in June of 2014. Since I’ve been back at Intermountain, in addition to my time in TeleCritical Care, I have been primarily an intensivist at Intermountain Medical Center in the Respiratory and Cardiac ICUs.

I was appointed Medical Director for TeleCritical Care in 2018.

Professionally, I have an interest in quality improvement and simulation.

When the world allows, my wife and I try to travel whenever possible. If I’m in town and not working, you can find me mountain biking or skiing.
