Dr. Carbone is a general pediatrician with an interest and experience in the area of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. He currently holds the position of Professor of Pediatrics within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. His general pediatric practice is within the University of Utah Neurobehavior HOME Program, a lifespan clinic that provides comprehensive medical and mental health services for individuals with ASD and other developmental disabilities.  He is a current member of the Council on Children with Disabilities Autism Subcommittee of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Carbone has lectured extensively both locally and nationally around the topic of ASD and he is the co-editor of the book Autism Spectrum Disorders: What Every Parent Needs to Know, published by the American Academy of Pediatrics. His research interests are in the areas of health services utilization and primary medical care for children with ASD.
