Jody Osteyee, DNP

Jody Osteyee received her BSN from Westminster College (1980), her MSN from Brigham Young University (1991), and her DNP from the University of Utah (2009).  Dr. Osteyee’s nursing career includes experience in neonatal and pediatric intensive care nursing and acute and chronic pediatric pain management.  For the past 19 years Jody has been a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT with a focus on Medical-Surgical nursing care.

Some of her current responsibilities as a member of the Nurse Excellence Team at Primary Children’s Hospital include: program lead for the CORE scholar program (an evidence-based practice course for clinical staff), system pediatric fall prevention lead, safety event reviews, Zero Harm culture sustenance, Improving Pediatric Sepsis Outcomes initiative rollouts, Magnet status designation, and evidence-based practice reviews and implementation projects. 

Dr. Osteyee has been nursing faculty at Utah colleges of nursing, written test questions for the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses certification exam and held leadership positions in local and national nursing professional organizations.
